The Telegraph have listed 19 reasons why Spain is still the world’s greatest holiday destination. And whilst we at Real Capital Solutions Spain don’t need any reminders, we thought that it would be nice to share some of our favourite things about this special European destination …

What the Moors left behind
Base yourself in Marbella and you will see a wealth of incredible Moorish architecture. Marbella’s charming old town Plaza de los Naranjos, is a great starting point but a visit to Ronda or, even better, the Alhambra Palace in Granada is well recommended.

The Best Beaches
The Costa del Sol has 161 km of stunning beaches that stretch from Manilva to Nerja. There is everything to enjoy from 5-star beach clubs frequented by A List celebrities or discreet rocky coves with activities including SUP, jet-skis and aqua parks.

World class cycling
Spain is a country of bicycle lovers so there are many cycle paths and connections that map the full width of the Costa del Sol. For those of a higher ability or adventurous soul, the mountain-ranges offer incredible routes with jaw-dropping views – perhaps a little heart-stopping too after a steep ascent!

Beautiful Mountains
Marbella is easily recognised by La Concha. A mountain-scape that sits just behind Puerto Banús and is featured wherever possible on postcards and marketing materials – thanks to its incredible natural beauty. It’s varying levels mean that families can easily drive to the mid-point and enjoy a stroll or hikers can push the boundaries a little further to reach the pinnacle.

“Many of us are now popping chorizo and ibérico ham into our shopping baskets, as well as manchego cheese and, of course, a bottle of Spanish wine,” says the Telegraph article. And you never get bored of it, even when you live here! Whether you fancy an informal bite to eat after a long day at the beach or something super special at a choice of Michelin-starred restaurants, you will not be disappointed. The Puente Romano alone has a wonderful selection of fine places to dine.

It’s Only a Few Hours Away
Málaga airport is the top international airport for southern Spain. It continues to get busier and busier and, thanks to some strategic expansion works in recent years, it handles its 17 million yearly passengers with ease. The huge amount of low cost transfer options helps to sustain its popularity with direct connections to the UK, Sweden, Germany, America and Russia.

It is no coincidence that Real Capital Solutions Spain chose Marbella for its expansion into Europe. Not only is it truly beautiful but the opportunities are vast and we are certainly enjoying them with a wealth of real estate projects already under our belt, since arriving in 2013.
